InstallFest / Software Freedom Day - September 20th
Wednesday, September 10 2008 @ 10:09 AM CDT Contributed by: Anonymous
In conjunction with international Software Freedom Day, the BisManLUG will be holding an InstallFest at the Bismarck Public Library on September 20th from 10am - 3pm CDT. Come and hang out with your fellow Linux / Open Source enthusiasts! :-)
Great news! We have a new President and have decided to simplify things a bit by changing the structure of the BisManLUG officers, eliminating the Technical Services Administrator, PR Coordinator, and Member Representative positions. Our new officers will be as follows:
President: Eric Wanchic
Vice President: Robert Hart
Administrator: Anthony Nelson
Treasurer: Nate Swenson
Thank you all for your continued support of the BisManLUG!
I would like to let everyone know that I have decided to step down as President of the Bismarck/Mandan Linux User Group and into a different role as Technical Services Administrator, replacing Wayne Witzel III (who stepped down from this position on Sep 12th).
To make this transition as smooth as possible, I will continue to help take care of any past responsibilities through the end of 2007 or until another member volunteers to serve in this capacity, whichever comes first.
It has been a pleasure serving as President of the BisManLUG and I look forward to continuing to serve as the new Technical Services Administrator. If you feel you may want to take over as President, please don't hesitate to speak up on the mailing list or contact me or one of our officers directly. Thank you.
